Ashtanga Yoga Leeds offers classes in Leeds and Hebden Bridge, as well as retreats and workshops further afield.
Creating the new website
Joey and Rachel of Ashtanga Yoga Leeds (AYL) needed a new website which would allow their visitors to find information and book classes and workshops far more easily than before.
With our New Website Package we were able to deliver a well structured site with sensible navigation and compelling calls to action on every page to take their visitors on a clear journey through the site.
Building the events section
The workshops and retreats they offer are a key part of Joey and Rachel’s yoga business, so we delivered a custom-built events section on their website. This allows them to easily add and manage their own events from the back-end, and for their students to easily find and book events from the front-end.
Simple class bookings
We added new functionality to the website to enable students to buy drop-ins and class passes, using a simple payment system powered by WP Simple Pay linked to Joey and Rachel’s Stripe account.
Applying the style guide
We applied AYL’s new style guide to the site, which incorporated their new logo, colour palette and fonts. We also added their new images, ensuring these were correctly sized and optimised.
Launching the yoga blog
As part of the redesign, we helped Joey and Rachel launch their yoga blog to establish their authentic voice online and give them a reason to regularly engage with their audience. We also helped them create a free learning pack for the Ashtanga opening mantra, as a giveaway in return for people signing up to their mailing list.

In this before and after video you can see some of the other changes we made to the site as part of our New Website Package.
Client feedback
“The new website looks good, it feels fresh and I like the way it has the ‘start here’ navigation, I think the layout makes it easier for people to find what they want. It has more functionality than the previous one and looks much more modern.
Our biggest challenge before the launch was writing content that we were happy with before putting it out there. We anticipate that being able to pay for classes through the website will increase numbers of drop-ins, as I think once people have paid they’re more likely to turn up. We’ve had lots of comments from people who like the new site and have enjoyed reading the blogs.”
